The Trademarked Micro-Mini Lift® Technique
The main innovation and advantage of Dr. Godin’s trade-marked Micro-Mini Lift® technique is the use of specific, precise incisions that, in most cases, can be carefully concealed around the natural folds of the ears. Many “small incision lifts” include an incision that begins at the top of the ear at the hairline, then extends along the entire length of the front of the ear to curve around the earlobe and end near the middle of the back of the ear. While this approach is smaller than the traditional facelift incision, it places the majority of the scar in front of the ear where it can be seen. In contrast to this, the Micro-Mini Lift® incision usually begins just in front of the earlobe and traverses the full height of the back of the ear before curving into the hairline at a level sufficient to hide the scar well. In doing this, there is less scar where it can be seen in front of the ear, which is a substantial advantage. Dr. Godin’s extensive facelift experience allows him to get to the deeper areas beneath the skin through this small incision, and effect change by getting under the SMAS layer at the jawline and in the neck.
