The Facelift Procedure
Dr. Godin performs all his facelift surgeries onsite in his private surgery suite under IV sedation and local anesthesia; no general anesthesia is required. The surgery usually requires incisions hidden in the hair and behind the ears, but Dr. Godin makes every effort to ensure that the 
incisions are placed as inconspicuously as possible to avoid the potential for visible, long-term scarring. Once the loose, excess skin has been excised and the structures of the face lifted and tightened to blend with your natural facial contours, the incisions are closed with sutures and any bleeding stopped immediately by electric cautery. This final step means that your procedure time may be a little longer, but it eliminates the need for surgical drains, minimizing the potential for bruising and reducing your recovery time.
